What is Platinum Five?
Platinum Five is a reworked Pokémon Platinum adventure celebrating Pokémon’s first five generations and the 2D era, with Sinnoh at its heart. Its expanded roster, selected Generation V moves and abilities, and redesigned encounters and battles bring new possibilities for exploration and team building to the region.
Sinnoh, expanded
Sinnoh’s atmosphere, routes and sense of adventure guide the experience. Pokémon from the first five generations expand the possibilities for exploration and team building without replacing the region’s identity. The goal is not to replace Sinnoh, but to give its routes, encounters and battles more possibilities.
The expanded roster enriches the journey through the region. Familiar routes offer different team-building opportunities, and redesigned battles give those choices a purpose. Exploration and meaningful encounters matter alongside the challenges you meet along the way.
Choose your approach
Choose Easy for a more relaxed adventure, Normal for the intended Platinum Five experience, or Challenge for more demanding battles and more limited player options. Difficulty changes teams, strategies, encounters and some of the options available to you, rather than simply raising enemy levels.
Nuzlocke mode is entirely optional. It strongly influenced the design, but regular play is a complete way to enjoy the adventure and requires no Nuzlocke knowledge. Choose the approach that suits how you enjoy Pokémon.
Blind or documented
Platinum Five is designed to be played both blind and documented. You can discover teams, encounters and surprises naturally, or use the wiki to plan your team and prepare for the journey ahead.
Both approaches are intentional, whether you play regularly or choose a Nuzlocke run. Read as much or as little as you want, and decide how much advance knowledge belongs in your adventure.
